ACCOUNTABILITY & COMPLIANCE

PCTG welcomes all members, supporters and consumers to view and utilize our newly designed web site @ www.pctg.org. This new format is a major step to be utilized when assisting the collision repair industry to achieve proper compliance of The Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser Act, The Pennsylvania Unfair Insurance Practices Act and corresponding regulations. Please stop by and explore our PCTG Complaint process and our PCTG Complaint Library.

It is the Guild’s purpose, to bring accountability to the process of consumer property damage claim handling and to encourage the insurance company staff and independent damage appraisers to comply with the guidelines written to protect the citizens of our Commonwealth. You now have an automated complaint filing process. You now have a process to track not only your submitted complaints but also the responses received by our Department of Insurance. Prior to this new web site format it was easy for the Department of Insurance to be nonchalant regarding the behavior of insurance companies and their representatives.

With the advent of this newly designed PCTG web site, consumer complaints will follow a method of tracking not realized since our organization began asking the Department of Insurance for enforcement and compliance. From this day forward when a collision repair facility files a compliant on behalf of their consumer utilizing the Guild’s complaint filing process, a copy of this automated complaint is sent to the consumer’s State Senator and Representative as well as the repair facility’s State Senator and Representative. A copy will also be sent to DOI Consumer Liaison Cynthia Fillman and our PA Attorney General’s office. This process will ensure that all individuals and agencies are brought into the task of proper compliance. Tracking these complaints in a formal and accurate manner has been an objective for the Guild for years which will help us, help you protect the rights of your customers / consumers across the Commonwealth.

Please feel free to utilize The PCTG Automated Complaint format. Provide your Guild with valid, truthful and factual information and the Guild will continue with it’s mission to safeguard the collision repair professional’s right to repair their consumer’s vehicles in a ethical and responsible manner.
